The Moon (also known as Luna) is a giant natural satellite that orbits Earth. The Moon makes countless cameos throughout Adventure Time, often appearing glowing during the night. In Issue 59, it is revealed that the moon was once host to the Cosmic Ice Elemental, Lun, before her death. This however is only true to the comics, as those events are non-cannon in the show.

- It was revealed in "Hug Wolf" that the Moon's light turns those inflicted with the Hug Wolf curse into Hug Wolves.
- In the episode "Something Big", when Maja is summoning Darren, the Moon turns into a giant eye with a blue iris.
- One of the members of the Vampire King's court is known as The Moon. This character possesses some qualities that relate to the moon, such as her ability to drop small glowing orbs known as "Moon Pearls" and her golden pendant which is in the shape of a crescent moon.
- One of the items in the Dungeon Train known as the Battle moon seems to have a design inspired by the Moon.
- One of the many rooms in the Nightmare Castle appears to be the surface of the Moon.
